March 11, 2025 - Fly to Chester County for Lunch

Destination:  Chester County Airport.  Purpose of Flight:  Lunch at The Hungry PIlot Grill.  Weather conditions:  excellent.  PIlots:  Chuck (RV-7A), Mark (RV-8), Me (RV-7)

Chuck and Mark winging across Maryland, north of Baltimore.

About to cross the Susquehanna River.

It's still winter.  The scenery is blah-city.

Over the Susquehanna River looking northwest.

On the ramp at Chester County Airport.

The three RVs get the VIP treatment!

Facing a seriously sweet jet.

After a delicious lunch at the Hungry Pilot Grill -- always great -- we're back in our RVs, doing the pre-flight engine run-up.

Passing a huge quarry just south of Interstate 95.

For the first time, I see a ship entering the Chesapeake-Delware Canal!  Actually, the ship is entering the Elk River, then will make a right at Back Creek which is the western end of the canal.

A close-up of the ship;  it's a car carrier.

For something different, we flew home via the Eastern Shore.  Here we pass the Buttonwood Beach RV Resort!  It's been here ever since I started flying the area.

Passing by what I call "The Road".

Passing by the ESA Management building.  Your State of Maryland tax dollars at work.
